Electrical Fabrication Technician - Job Description

Chicago White Metal Casting (CWM) is an industry leader in die casting and precision manufacturing. We are currently hiring for an Electrical Fabrication Technician. We're seeking a dedicated individual who is passionate about craftsmanship, continuous improvement, and making a real impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Wire industrial control panels, sensors, and relays based on schematics and layout diagrams
  • Fabricate metal parts and mounts using drills, grinders, and hand tools
  • Assemble mechanical and electrical components onto machines and structures
  • Bolt equipment such as conveyors and robotic systems into place securely
  • Read blueprints and follow build instructions with a high level of accuracy

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00am - 4:00pm


Wage Scale: $30-$35/hour, based on experience


Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience with control panel wiring in an industrial setting
  • 3-5 years of mechanical fabrication experience (metal drilling, bolting, mounting)
  • 3-5 years of component/equipment assembly in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints
  • Comfortable working around conveyor systems and co-bot installations
