Desktop Network Support - Job Description

Acme Industrial Company is an established AS9100 manufacturing company located in Carpentersville Illinois. With the help of 150 team members, we produce fasteners for a variety of industries including aerospace, automotive and military applications. We currently have new opportunity for a well rounded I.T. technician to join our team to provide support for all users with regard to hardware and softwar needs.

Responsibilities include:

• Install, troubleshoot and repair personal computers, telephone, cables, and connectors.
• Connect personal computers and terminals to existing data networks
• Instruct and assist users in the use of personal computers and networks
• Follow security regulations, guidelines and best practices in order to ensure system safety
• Maintain trouble logs, identify priority items, and work to resolve, escalating when necessary.
• Become familiar with frequently used programs in order to assist users
• Participate in new installations, testing and special projects as needed.

Qualified candidates will have:

• Experience in a similar role
• Some continuing education in network training and security
