Position Overview

We're hiring a Scale Operator who can bring reliability, attention to detail, and solid material knowledge to the yard. This is a boots-on-the-ground role-you're not just operating equipment, you're helping maintain trust and accountability with our customers and our team.

What You'll Do

• Accurately weigh incoming and outgoing scrap metal using scale systems
• Identify ferrous and non-ferrous metals confidently
• Input ticket data and maintain clean, organized records
• Work directly with drivers and customers during deliveries and pickups
• Support the team by keeping the scale area orderly and safe
• Communicate clearly with yard crew and front office

Must Haves and Responsibilities

• Experienced in scrap or recycling operations (preferred)
• Strong understanding of different metals and classifications
• Comfortable working outdoors and in a fast-paced environment
• Dependable, punctual, and proactive
• Able to use basic computer systems for ticketing
• A team player-willing to learn, lend a hand, and grow with us

Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Saturday: 6:00 AM - 12:00 PM
