Manufacturing Shop Team Member
Department: Production
Supervisor: Operations Manager
Hours: Minimum 40 hours per week
Shift - Monday-Friday 5:00am-3:30pm
Saturdays 5:00am-11:00am
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Operations Manager and as a member of the Shop Floor Team members, this position will be responsible for manufacturing furniture in the shop floor and occasionally on clients' jobsites. Responsibilities include but are not limited to use of hand tools, power tools, woodworking tools and more, for manufacturing furniture. Ensure product quality is the level expected for clients.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with the Shop Floor Team members to Construct/Fabricate different products for different clients' projects
- Perform quality control to ensure all products are the highest level as expected for ROI
- Construct furniture efficiently with all necessary and required safety measures
- Use best construction methods to improve efficiency when possible
- Communicate with Supervisor and other Team Members to ensure efficient flow of project construction
- Additional duties performed as directed by the Executive Management Team and Operations Manager.
Operating Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
Education/Training:
- Combination of 1+ years' experience and education constructing furniture or performing carpentry in construction.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, woodworking tools safely
- Experience performing quality control for completed projects
Experience/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Capability to work in a Team Environment, interacting with various types of people, remain mentally alert, with attention to detail and firm reasoning skills while constantly working to improve.
- Capability to perform multiple movements and positions with lifting and moving 50lbs. or more safely and consistently.
- Capability to safely perform job activities including operation of equipment including power tools, hand tools, woodworking tools, etc.
- Capability of understanding English Language audibly and legibly including via phone.
- Capability to understand and follow restrictive guidelines for all hazardous materials and Material Safety Data Sheets.
- Capability to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
- Capability and desire to accomplish projects correctly once with little to no re-work.
- Capability of multi-tasking with prioritization of tasks.
