Shipping and Receiving Warehouse Coordinator - Job Description

Full Time: Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm or 7am to 3:30pm on rotating weeks. Occasional overtime on evenings and weekends as needed Reports to: Inventory and Quality Manager Direct Reports: none Safety: - Safety-minded always, including and not limited to following all CGM safety procedures
- Keeps work and community areas clean
- Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary for task at hand
- Report any unsafe work practices, injuries or quality issues to your supervisor
Communication: - Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, customers and vendors both in person and via phone, email, Microsoft Teams and other technologies
- Ability to read and understand basic English
- Bi-lingual in English/Spanish is helpful but not a requirement
Skills: - A Team player, with a can-do positive attitude
- Detail, process, and goal oriented and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
- Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; Gather and analyze information skillfully; Develop alternative solutions; Work well with a team in problem-solving situations
- Comfortable with computers
- Basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with and without a calculator
- Bend, stoop, push, pull, grasp, reach, kneel, twist frequently during the shift
- Familiarity with Lean tools and/or 5S
- Understand and follow all appropriate shipping regulations including DOT rules for shipping hazardous materials and documentation necessary for international shipments
Primary Duties: - Manage outbound shipments with little guidance using the following criteria
- Accurately print, pick, document and ship all outbound customer orders and vendor returns following all order instructions
- Choose CGM approved carriers being mindful of costs, transit time, weather and other factors depending on the needs of the shipment
- Process shipments and pickup requests using appropriate software, and print bills of lading and affix labels in accordance with carrier requirements
- Process inbound deliveries
- Examine incoming deliveries including vendor receipts and customer returns to ensure accuracy, process visual inspection for damaged items, record shortages and other issues
- Accurately document and process delivery paperwork to its appropriate next step in the timeframe expected
- Move product to the appropriate location
- Other responsibilities
- Maintain a safe, neat, and well-organized warehouse using Lean and 5S tools
- Process conversion of liquid adhesives from larger to smaller containers following BOM and using appropriate PPE and other safety devices and accurately process assembly through Sage ERP
- Rotate stock to ensure first in-first out inventory movement
- Maintain accurate inventory locations in Sage ERP
- Investigate inventory variances and process adjustments as necessary
- Conduct physical inventory cycle counts
- Additional projects as assigned by management
Requirements: - High school or equivalent
- Experience minimum of one year
- Lift up to 55 pounds and handle 55 gallon drums
- Forklift experience and ability to be PIT certified
Tools Used: - Must be able to safely and properly use inspection and measuring tools including but not limited to gauges, rulers, tape measures, scales, calculator, hand tools including but not limited to utility knife, hammer, screwdriver and wrenches
Work is performed indoors; temperatures can range from 55 F to 95 F. Frequent exposure to the smell of different molten adhesive formulas Must be able to pass background check and drug screen
