Tool Room Supervisor- Lead Man - Job Description

Job Functions:

• Supervises the tool room personnel
• Schedules and reports on die maintenance and repairs to the tooling manager
• Schedules and reports on new tooling work being completed in the tool room
• Reports on condition of existing tools
• Trouble shoots all production jobs
• Participates in new tooling projects
• Ensures all safety policies and procedures are being followed

Job Requirements:

• Requires Trade School Certificate and minimum of 10 years experience in production, tooling, and engineering environment in the metal stamping market.
• Near acuity and accomodations are required machine dial gauges, blueprints, and precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to read and understand machine controls and computer screens.
• ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes in order to take action.

Working Conditions: High noise levels, physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts, breathing fumes, dust and mist.
