New Business Development Manager - Job Description
Large North Suburban based component manufacturer specializing in CNC and multi-spindle precision metal machining is seeking a New Business Development Manager (Outside Sales). This position is responsible for generating new business opportunities. Position Responsibilities - Regular travel primarily throughout the Midwest (minimum 50% travel M-Th)
- Additional travel throughout North America/Mexico as necessary to support company efforts as well as customer needs.
- Grow our overall business through new customer projects and diversification of our current business portfolio (networking & lead generation).
- Manage and grow existing accounts and use your outside sales experience to prospect and develop new business.
- Ability to work independently with both company personnel as well as clients.
- Ability to manage complex customer / supplier relationships.
Minimum Requirements - 5+ years outside sales representative / sales account manager experience.
- Demonstrated record of sales growth / customer development.
- Experience in metals, and/or manufacturing preferred.
- Valid driver's license and excellent driving record.
- Familiar with Microsoft Suite (strong with Excel)
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and presentation skills.
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Experience working for a precision machinery company preferred. Benefits
