Tool Room Technician - Plastic Injection Molding - Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Tool Room Technician to join our team! This position will maintain and repair molds, tools, and automation to support production requirements. This position will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on tools used for production and have responsibility for producing quality workmanship in an efficient and safe manner. Work as part of a team having responsibility for identifying and correcting conditions that affect employee safety.

Your Qualifications and Sought After Characteristics

• Experience in building, maintaining, and troubleshooting dies, molds, fixtures, and automation by understanding the construction process.
• Possess a detailed and methodical approach to work.
• Conscientious and takes pride in their work.
• Quality-oriented with an ability to work at a moderate pace.
• Communication style is direct, factual, no-nonsense approach.

Education and Experience:

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) with additional training required. Ideally, completion of a formal apprenticeship program with 5+ years of experience.
• Previous experience working in a tool room or mold shop.
• Willingness to accept responsibility.
• Able to make decisions.
• Action-oriented, self-starter who can work with little or no supervision.
• Ability to communicate verbally with team members and in written form, using email effectively.
