Hoffer Plastics is hiring for "Assembly Operator", "2nd shift".
Play a key role in producing plastic components that make everyday life possible, from transportation to food packaging to healthcare.
Starting Pay $17 (based on experience) + 4% Shift Premium
2nd Shift Hours are 4:00pm – 12:00am

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the operation of high-speed assembly equipment, lining machines and hand assembly operations, working with the foreman, assembly technicians and inspectors as necessary.
- Loading and unloading of components and finished assemblies from various work stations.
- Making and correctly labeling production containers.
- Collecting and organizing traceability data and preparing production tickets for assemblies.
- Housekeeping; maintaining the cleanliness and safety requirements.
- Suggest changes or improvements in assembly equipment and operations.
- Report on defective material and equipment.
- Responsible for maintaining quality and quantity standards.
- Assure compliance with the GMP policy.
- Follow the safety rules and wearing of required protective clothing or items.
- Visually scan for manufacturing defects, trim, sort, assemble, weigh/count and package parts.
- Make up boxes, record, verify production labels and operate grinder
- Train new hires, transfers and temporary workers as needed.

- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas

PHYSCIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The Incumbent will:
- usually stand/walk most of their day.
- occasionally bend, twist and kneel.
- frequently lift and push about 30lbs.
- frequently perform hand/ wrist/ finger movement.
- occasionally perform keyboarding and squeezing movements.
- possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately.
- regularly use specific vision abilities such as close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
- Must be able to work from verbal and written instructions.
- Must be able to read/write English
- Experience with power and hand tools is a plus
- Basic math proficiency
