Inside Sales Representative - Job Description


The Inside Sales Representative, based in Entech's Cincinnati sales office, is responsible for generating sales, processing orders, and maintaining customer relationships. The role also includes scheduling installations for Entech products and services and supporting the Sales General Manager in closing sales opportunities. This position primarily involves communication via telephone, email, and text.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service:
    • Answering inquiries, addressing concerns, and providing product information via phone, email, text and chat.
    • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential customers and integrators.
    • Conducting outbound calls and emails to generate leads and follow up on inquiries.
  • Sales Process:
    • Understanding customer needs and translating them into sales opportunities.
    • Explaining product features, benefits, and applications to customers.
    • Preparing, submitting and following up on sales proposals.
    • Processing orders and ensuring timely delivery.
    • Scheduling installations and service work for Rinsers, Inverters and Twists.
    • Answering customer questions before and after installation.
  • Sales Performance:
    • Achieving individual and team sales targets.
    • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
    • Developing and implementing sales strategies.
    • Tracking and reporting on sales performance.

  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Having a thorough understanding of company products and services.
    • Ability to answer technical questions and provide solutions to customer issues.
    • Utilizing Entech's sales materials and brochures to help customers understand Entech's unique benefits and features.
    • Staying current on product developments and market trends.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Maintaining accurate customer records and sales data.
    • Preparing sales reports and forecasts.
    • Collaborating with other departments, such as operations, logistics, and quality.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Assisting the outside sales team by preparing quotes and sourcing products.
    • Processing customer phone and email orders.
    • Checking availability of manufacturing and shipping dates, and tracking/communicating customer schedule changes.
    • Assisting in the sales, scheduling, delivery and follow up on Entech's Rinser validation and audit programs with past, current and potential customers and integrators.
    • Travel, when appropriate, to customer or partner facilities for training or sales meetings.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong sales and customer service skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and establish trustful relationships with customers.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools such as Hubspot.
  • Organizational and time-management skills.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with additional training or experience preferred.
  • Some experience in manufacturing or a related field is preferred.

The Inside Sales Representative plays a crucial role in connecting Entech with its customers. This position is vital in generating sales, building relationships, and supporting the overall growth of the business.
