Accounting Clerk - Job Description


Dial Tool Industries, LLC (DTI) is a world class turn-key solution partner for metal stampings, plastic injection, insert molding, and part assembly.

Located in Addison, IL, DTI assists our customers with product design, manufacturing efficiencies, cost and quality control and excellent response times.

We seek a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accounting Clerk and Receptionist. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring smooth operations both in the front office and behind the scenes.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Accounting Duties:
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial documents promptly.
  • Communicate with customers and vendors in a courteous and professional manner to resolve issues and reconcile accounts.
  • Work closely with the Controller team to support month-end and year-end closing processes.

Receptionist Duties:

  • Greet visitors in a friendly and professional manner, directing them to the appropriate person or department.
  • Answer and screen incoming calls and respond to inquiries or route calls to the appropriate individual.
  • Manage the company's main email account, responding to inquiries or forwarding messages to the appropriate department.
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area, ensuring it reflects a professional image of the company.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and scheduling appointments or meetings as needed.

General Administrative Support:

  • Provide general administrative support to various departments within the company as required.
  • Assist with special projects, reports, or tasks as assigned by supervisors or managers.
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve efficiency in day-to-day operations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in accounting or office administration is a plus.
  • Proven experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or related field preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ERP software, Net Suite Experience a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities.
