Hoffer Plastics is hiring for "Receiving Supervisor", "1st shift".
Play a key role in producing plastic components that make everyday life possible, from transportation to food packaging to healthcare. Manages the day-to-day operations of the company's Receiving group.
Starting Pay $60,000- $75,000
1st Shift Hours are 7:00am – 4:00pm
This is a Salaried position.
Responsibilities:
- Supervises all warehouse personnel.
- Interpersonal Skills
- Train subordinates effectively in every aspect of their job.
- Motivate and influence others for improved productivity and performance.
- Effectively handle problem employees; assess performance, coach and counsel, and administer corrective discipline as needed with the assistance of the Logistics manager.
- Communicate effectively with employees and all levels of management.
- In conjunction with the Logistics Manager, evaluate all subordinates on a regular basis to ensure proper feedback in the performance of their duties.
- Inventory Control
- Ensures that subordinates maintain an accurate materials inventory by using IQMS Database. This will include the use of handheld scanner guns.
- Monitors Regrind Usage - Insures that regrind is distributed to the plants as requested in the most efficient manner possible
- Completes a monthly cycle count of all material related items in the Receiving Warehouse.
- Alerts Purchasing when there is a diminishing supply of any warehouse item that might not otherwise be recognized.
- Organizes items in the warehouse by material type, e.g., nylon, polyethylene, etc., are grouped together.
- Coordinates the timely movement of external rejects back to the plant after Q.C. processes the paperwork pertaining to these items.
- Maintains a proper balance on all transactions dealing with regrind and color concentrates.
- Assures that the warehouse is clean and orderly at all times.
- Enforces safety rules and wearing of prescribed protection clothing or items. Assures compliance with GMP policy.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The Incumbent will:
- walk, Stand and/or sit the duration of the
- occasionally bend, twist, kneel and climb.
- occasionally lift, push and pull up to 75lbs.
- frequently perform hand/ wrist/ finger movement and foot for pedal controls on forklift.
- occasionally perform keyboarding and squeezing movements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum educational requirements: High school graduate or G.E.D preferred plus additional specialized training in warehouse operations.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to direct / supervise upwards of 5 individuals on a daily basis.
- Results oriented with a focus on Customer Service.
- Over 3 years in related work including lesser positions.
- Ability to perform diversified duties involving extensive knowledge of warehouse operations. Requires the use of judgment in analyzing problems and the determination of action to be taken within the limits of standard or accepted
