Hoffer Plastics is hiring for "Conveyor Technician".
This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of conveyor systems used in material handling and production operations. This role supports safe and efficient operation by ensuring all conveyor equipment is operating at its peak performance.
Play a key role in producing plastic components that make everyday life possible, from transportation to food packaging to healthcare.
Starting Pay $20.00 - $25.00 (based on experience)
Schedule would be either 1st shift, 2nd shift, or 3rd shift.
1st -8am-4pm
2nd-4pm-12am
3rd-12am-8am

Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on conveyor systems to ensure operational reliability.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components of conveyor systems.
- Assist in the installation and setup of new conveyor equipment and related automation.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns quickly to minimize downtime.
- Replace rollers, belts, bearings, motors, sensors, and other worn or damaged parts.
- Work with operations and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and performance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed, parts used, and system modifications.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and participate in safety training and audits.
- Keep work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
PHYSCIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The incumbent will:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Frequently standing, walking, bending, and climbing ladder or stairs.
- May require working in hot, cold, or noisy environments.
- Occasional overtime or on-call availability may be required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical or electrical maintenance, preferably with conveyor systems
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with belt-driven, roller, and chain conveyor systems.
- Knowledge of basic electrical and control systems.
- Ability to reach and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
- Comfortable working at heights or in tight spaces as needed.
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environment.
