YPO Event Planner Opportunity: Chapter Manager - Job Description

About Us

Join YPO as we launch our new chapter, Skyline Gold! We are a vibrant community of chief executives dedicated to leadership excellence. We're looking for a dynamic Chapter Manager to partner with our volunteer Board of Directors, Day Chairs, and Members to cultivate an engaged and thriving chapter. This role is crucial in organizing impactful educational and social events, intimate retreats, and forums.


Job Details

  • Part-time: Approximately 25 hours/week
  • Additional Compensation: All out-of-pocket expenses covered (e.g., parking, miscellaneous)
  • Work Location: Remote (must reside in the Chicagoland area)
  • Contract Type: 1099 independent contractor (no employee benefits)

Key Responsibilities

  • Board Management: Assist in managing the local YPO chapter board, prepare meeting agendas, distribute reports, arrange venues, and maintain meeting minutes.
  • Membership: Oversee the prospect process, track renewals, maintain the member database, and support new member integration.
  • Event Planning: Coordinate event logistics, secure venues, manage vendor contracts, handle event registration, and oversee all event details.
  • Forum Coordination: Organize forum-related training events, manage training status, and collaborate with local YPO chapters.
  • Finance Assistance: Support the Finance Officer in managing chapter finances and ensuring adherence to financial protocols.

Skills and Qualifications

  • YPO Experience: A plus
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Communication: Effective and clear communication skills
    Event Planning: Proven experience in event planning
  • Self-Starter: Trustworthy and motivated
  • Tech Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft, Google, and internet applications
  • Adaptability: Ability to quickly analyze and shift with changing priorities
  • Executive Reporting: Ability to report to multiple C-level executives

Other

  • Part-time Position: Up to 25 hours a week.
  • Must reside in the Chicagoland area: This is a hybrid remote position, as the role will involve helping with events, each with a different location.
