Sales Representative - Job Description
Rogan Corporation is seeking an experienced Sales Representative to join our team located in Northbrook, Illinois. The Sales Professional will be self-motivated and focus on effectively selling Rogan products to targeted customers as well as prospecting for new business to successfully develop fresh opportunities. Rogan Corporation is a global leader in the knob and hand hardware industry. Duties and Responsibilities: - Identify prospects in target markets and contact appropriate personnel to assess for sales using market database information
- Become knowledgeable and sell the full Rogan product line and options
- Gather information, analyze and determine needs, recommend products, provide samples and prepare proposals to gain new business and achieve sales goals
- Manage leads, accounts and opportunities ensuring that all information is correct and up to date using the CRM and other computer and manual systems
- Contribute to the overall success of the Sales Team by working with customer service, engineering and accounting to create a team-oriented sales environment
- Become familiar with current customers and their needs to uncover new opportunities
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers
- Provide customers with a positive sales experience
- Participate in tradeshows as requested
- Assist with the management of leads, prospect lists and pipeline reports
- Participate in sales budget and customer forecasting
Qualifications: - Associates Degree in related field with a minimum 5-7 years of relevant sales experience involving industrial components or engineered products
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets
- Highly motivated, confident, professional
- Proficient knowledge of ERP software, word processing, spreadsheets, etc. such as MS Office Suite software, CRM software and use of the Internet
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Detail oriented and the ability to deal with several projects
- Ability to read, write and interpret documents such as reports, correspondence, multi-level instructions, procedures and requirements and the ability to converse in a way that allows effective transfer of facts, concepts and other information
- Ability to effectively reason through highly detailed instructions in combination with the ability to perform problem solving involving many concrete variables in sales situations
