Events and Engagement Coordinator - Job Description

The Technology and Manufacturing Association is looking for an Events and Engagement Coordinator to join our team in Schaumburg, IL.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Events

• Work with the Manager of Member Engagement to establish and drive event strategy, including objectives, budgets, content, timelines, and logistics to meet and advance the organization's mission.
• Ensure high level of member service to reflect TMA brand to both internal and external audiences.
• Track event performance and metrics to evaluate event effectiveness.
• Maintain and develop key vendor relationships in coordination with other team members. Handle
• contracting and supervision of third-party event personnel.

Member Database

• Maintain event profiles, data, billing, and attendance in TMA's association management system (AMS)
• Work with members to ensure they have access to their profiles via their AMS portal.
• Help manage TMA's member community (Nexus) platform.
• Review and update organization's AMS/CRM data.

Social Media

• Work with social media team to capture and promote events.
• Collect event and other content for TMA social media.

Hospitality

• Welcome and direct guests who visit TMA's Schaumburg Headquarters.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Some event and/or hospitality management experience preferred.
• Strong interest in having a role that will further TMA's mission and impact.
• Problem-solving and management in time-sensitive situations.
• An entrepreneurial spirit and strong work ethic.
• Team player with upbeat personality.
• A strong ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects effectively.
• Contract negotiation skills and experience.
• Outstanding written and oral communications skills.
• Knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and cloud-sharing programs.
