We are currently seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker to join our team in the metal stamping industry. The ideal candidate is a precision-focused craftsman capable of constructing and assembling high-quality dies. If you are skilled in reading technical blueprints and working with various metals to tight tolerances, we want to hear from you. Our hours of operation are

Key Responsibilities:

• Construct and Assemble: Build and assemble high-precision dies and tooling for metal stamping operations. Use CAD to assist in design and modification processes.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and sketches to determine specific dimensions and tolerances.
• Machining and Assembly: Shape, smooth, and fit metal parts using various machining tools such as mills, lathes, and grinders. Along with assembling, test tooling and functionality.
• Troubleshooting and optimization: Inspect and troubleshoot tooling issues to ensure continuous production and quality standards, including fine tuning and adjusting.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing dies.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of tooling designs, modifications, and maintenance.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience: Proven experience as a Tool & Die Maker, specifically within the metal stamping industry. Proficiency in manual/CNC machining, tooling materials, heat treatment, and tolerances.
• Technical Skills: Ability to work with various metals and operate standard toolroom machinery. Proficiency in reading blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Precision: Strong attention to detail and the ability to hold tight tolerances.

Preferred Skills (A Plus)

• Experience with Progressive Tooling.
• Proficiency with CAD software.
• Experience operating Wire EDM machines.
