We're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Lathe Operator to join our production team and help us continue building high-quality parts that power industries nationwide.

Position Overview

The Lathe Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC lathes to produce precision parts according to specifications. The ideal candidate has experience with metal manufacturing, can interpret blueprints, and understands how to measure and verify tolerances with accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate manual and CNC lathes to produce parts per drawings and specifications.
  • Perform tool changes, offsets, and adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, job travelers, and work orders.
  • Use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify dimensions.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with 5S and safety standards.
  • Perform basic machine maintenance and report equipment issues promptly.
  • Work collaboratively with the production team to meet daily production goals.
  • Follow all ISO and safety protocols consistently.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience operating CNC lathes (steel experience preferred).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with machining feeds, speeds, and tool selection.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments accurately.
  • Willingness to work as part of a fast-paced production team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
